UPPER EAST SIDE — An East Harlem man has been arrested for allegedly climbing through a window of an Upper East Side apartment and sexually attacking a sleeping victim.

Jason Quinones, 21, who lives on East 100th St., was charged Sunday with rape and burglary.

He's accused of climbing through an East 90th St. window early Saturday.  As his alleged victim, 27, awoke, he fled through the front door, police said.

The super of a nearby building, who did not want to be named, told DNAinfo he heard cops saying that the victim was found in a hallway with no underwear on.

The assault, which comes on the heels of string of a dozen gropings in and around the neighborhood, had residents on edge.

"This really concerns me because I'm a single woman living alone and there are no cameras on my building," said Joy Pilborough.

The suspect was walked from the NYPD's Special Victims Unit on Sunday, August 14 2011.

Allison Bondell, 29, said that she was going to have bars put on the windows of her third floor apartment.

"I’m definitely going to get bars now, even though I’m on the third floor," she said. "I feel like it is frightening, but when you live in the city, stuff like this can happen."

Last week, Queens man Jose Alfredo Perez Hernandez was charged with three alleged groping incidents.

However, four of the victims in the spree did not pick Hernandez out of a lineup.
