MANHATTAN — A man suspected of robbing two banks and attempting to rob a third last month has struck again, this time at a location near Times Square, police said.

The NYPD first released a surveillance image of the suspect last Thursday. But the following afternoon, he was at it again – stealing cash from the Sovereign Bank at 550 Fifth Ave. between West 45th and West 46th Streets, according to the NYPD.

As with the previous incidents, the robber simply demanded money from a teller at the Midtown branch and made off on foot.

The other alleged heists took place at banks in Columbus Circle and the East Village on June 18 and 28, respectively. A third, unsuccessful robbery attempt occurred on June 17 at a Park Avenue Chase near East 33rd Street.

The suspect is described as between 40 and 45 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9 tall, with a medium build.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
