CENTRAL PARK — A dead body was found just inside Central Park near West 63rd Street early Friday morning, officials said.

Fire officials got a call at 7 a.m. reporting that someone had a heart attack at West Drive near the Transverse, one of the paths inside the park near Central Park West and 63rd Street, the FDNY said.

The individual was declared dead on the scene at 7:12 a.m., fire officials said. Detectives roped off the scene and the body, covered in a white sheet, lay in the grass near the public bathrooms on West Street at 63rd Street.

The individual was a white woman believed to have been in her 40s, police said.

A police source said it appeared the woman had died of natural causes.
