Alexander McQueen Exhibit at Met Draws 43K People in First Week

MANHATTAN — More than 43,000 people have visited a Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit celebrating deceased fashion designer Alexander McQueen the since it opened last week, the museum announced over Facebook Monday.

The exhibit, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, opened last Wednesday and will run through July 31.

It features roughly 100 works from the British designer who was found dead last February at 40 years old.

Designer Sarah Burton was working for McQueen's line when she designed Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding dress.
