EAST VILLAGE — While there are still plenty of bongs and tattoo parlors to choose from on St. Mark's Place, the once-grungy strip's last porn shop reportedly closed this week.
Cherries, the tiny adult store located between Second and Third avenues, packed up its "Peep Show" booths for good this week, EV Grieve reported.
The blog noted that 50-percent off signs recently went up in the shop's window recently, and also posted a photo of movers loading up the store's "preview booths."
A shot of Cherries appeared in the opening credits of "Saturday Night Live."
The shop's phone number has been disconnected and no one answered the door at the address on Friday afternoon.
Eater reported that restaurateur Michael Huynh scored the lease for the space.
