MANHATTAN — New Yorkers headed to one of the city's Yankees or Mets games this season can now party in a boat en route.

Delta's Baseball Water Taxi Service will offer free service for every home game at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field starting Thursday, according to a spokesperson for New York Water Taxi. Pickup starts an hour before the game from the South Street Seaport with an extra stop on the East 35th Street pier.

In addition to the free ride, fans will also get to pre-game at the "Fly Ball" cafe. For those antsy to see all the action, pre-game coverage will also be shown in the deck's large-screen TV's.

Although competition is fierce between Yankees and Mets fans, the service won't be a source of contention since the waterway is neutral, Gail Grimmett, the senior vice president of Delta's New York section said. Both teams will have their own taxis outfitted with the appropriate team logos.
