MANHATTAN — Less than a week since temperatures neared record highs, Manhattanites were once again forced to endure rain and snow.

The unwelcome precipitation began Tuesday night and was expected to continue throughout Wednesday, according to AccuWeather.com.

Forecasters predicted more than an inch of snow would fall in the borough, though most of it was not expected to stick, AccuWeather said.

Temperatures will be colder than in previous days, hovering in the high 30's for most of the day, according to the website.

The nasty weather was expected to improve slightly on Thursday, with only sporadic showers and flurries appearing during the day.

Early morning commuters trekked through light rain and snow in Midtown Wednesday.
