MANHATTAN — There are some new kids on the block at the Tisch Children's Zoo in Central Park.

Four baby Mini-Nubian goats were born in late February and early March. The newest arrivals to the zoo include a set of twins.

Officials hadn't yet named the goats but the babies were already showing distinct personalities.

A white-haired goat is playful and alert while a black-and-white goat likes to sleep in the food dish.

Staff have noticed that the twins stick together.

Julia Ruddick-Trentmann, 12, and her brother, Oscar, 8, caught sight of the playful goat just as its partners were napping during their visit to the zoo from England.

"It walked around and was sort of confident," Julia said of the goat.

"The other ones were just sleeping," she said.

Visitors to the zoo at East 64th Street and Fifth Avenue can see the goats play as well as pet them and their mother at the children's zoo, parks officials said in a statement.

The zoo is open year-round and is free for children under the age of 3.
