MANHATTAN — Who needs Carmelo Anthony when you've got Toney Douglas?

The Knicks backup point guard tied a Knicks record for 3-pointers Thursday night dropping 9 treys in New York's 120-99 win over the Memphis Grizzlies at Madison Square Garden.

Wearing lime green shoes in honor of St. Patrick's Day, Douglas tied Knicks legend John Starks and Latrell Sprewell for most 3-balls in a game.

"I'm going to keep the shoes and give it to somebody," Douglas, who finished with 29 points, told the New York Post. "I love that color. I had two days of practice in them and everyone was like, wow, those are really loud shoes. They're special shoes now. I'm going to tell the person I give it to not to wear them again. I told him if I have a good game and we win, I'll give it to him."

The Knicks overall had 20 three-pointers in the win, which ended a three-game losing streak.

"It was a great way to bounce back," Anthony told the Post, after pouring in 28 points of his own.

Amar'e Stoudemire only scored 16 points for New York.

The Knicks have been mediocre since acquiring Anthony in February. They're just 7-6 since the 13-player trade brought the All-Star scorer to the Big Apple. New York has a chance to improve that record Friday night in Detroit against the lowly Pistons.
