MANHATTAN — The official start of spring will be ushered in by actual spring-like weather as temperatures hit 70 degrees for the first time since October.
Wednesday's rains would quickly be replaced by a sunny high of 61 on St. Patrick's Day Thursday and a downright warm 70 degrees on Friday, according to AccuWeather.
The balmy weather is sure to be embraced by New Yorkers sick of this season's snow, rain and miserably cold weather.
Sunday, the actual first day of spring, will be cooler with highs only in the mid 50s, forecasters said. But the brief warm-up will be a pleasant reminder that milder days are just ahead.
