MANHATTAN — The NYPD is on the hunt for a suspected sex attacker in Hamilton Heights.

Police say the man sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman in the laundry room of a building near Broadway and West 140th Street earlier this month. He threw her to the ground and pretended to have a knife during the attack, which happened around 9 p.m. on March 6, according to the NYPD.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, police added.

But the attacker wasn't finished.

Just one hour later, near Broadway and West 148th Street, the suspect followed a 23-year-old woman into an elevator and grabbed her from behind, according to police. He threw her to the ground and punched her in the face repeatedly, the NYPD said.

Police released this still of the man believed to have assaulted two women in Hamilton Heights.
