MANHATTAN — Popular East Village frozen yogurt shop, 16 Handles, has plans to expand their tasty treats to the Upper West Side, according to reports.
16 Handles is scheduled to open its third Manhattan location at 325 Amsterdam Avenue, near 75th Street, by April 1, a spokesperson confirmed.
The newest addition to the fro-yo family will join the eatery's flagship spot on Second Avenue near East 10th Street and their Upper East Side location on Second Avenue near East 81st Street, according to the 16 Handles site.
The shop boasts that it always has 16 flavors "on tap," hence the name, and lets customers build their own sundaes and then pay by weight.
The chain has plans to expand in several other locations including Florida and Connecticut, according to Eater.
16 Handles is also planning to expand to more locations in Manhattan and is currently looking for properties, the spokesperson said.
