MIDTOWN — Legendary concert venue the Roseland Ballroom caught fire late Tuesday night.
A fire broke out on the mezzanine level of the concert hall at 239 West 52nd Street and Eighth Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and was extinguished at 11:46 p.m., said an FDNY spokesman.
Seven firefighters were treated for minor injuries at Roosevelt Hospital as a result of the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
There were no events on the schedule for Tuesday but the Roseland Ballroom website announced a Dropkick Murphys concert for Thursday.
A representative from Live Nation, the company that oversees ticket sales at the concert venue, said that the Dropkick Murphys concerts scheduled for Thursday and Friday were still on and had not been canceled.

Over the years, the Roseland Ballroom has served as a catch-all event space, hosting everything from movie premieres and fashion shows to concerts featuring artists such as Madonna, Jay-Z and The Strokes.
