MIDTOWN — An early morning fire tore through the third floor of the Chinese Mission to the UN early Wednesday.
The fire broke out shortly before 3 a.m. at the mission at 350 East 35th Street and was contained within the hour, an FDNY spokesman said.
Four firefighters sustained minor injuries while fighting the flames, officials said.
Several windows on the buildings third floor were broken and there was glass and charred debris on the street below. The street is currently closed to traffic.
A fire marshal was investigating the cause of the fire Wednesday.
