WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A 21-year-old man was in critical condition at Harlem Hospital Sunday after an early morning shooting on St. Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a call of a shooting shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday morning at 1536 St. Nicholas Avenue at West 187th Street.

There they found an unidentified Hispanic man with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, police said.

He was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he remained in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing and police were searching for a suspect described as a 6-foot, Hispanic male weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a blue and gray hoodie.
