WEST VILLAGE — Three men robbed an elderly woman after one of them posed as a plumber to get access to the woman's apartment in the West Village on Wednesday, the NYPD said.

The 80-year-old woman, who lives at 87 Barrow St., was approached by a man posing as a plumber and asking for entrance into the woman's residence, according to the police.

While the fake plumber distracted the woman, two other burglars entered her home and stole miscellaneous jewelry from the bedroom, police said.

All three men left the woman unharmed and fled East after leaving the building.

The first suspect is a male between 35 and 40 years old, 5-feet-9-inches tall, of medium build, and has a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black Pittsburgh Pirates hat, sunglasses, a gray half-zipped sweater, tan pants, and brown shoes, according to the NYPD.

The second suspect is a male, 30 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall, of medium build, and has a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray or blue Adidas baseball hat, a black New York Mets jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes, police said.

The third robbery suspect is a male, 40 years of age, 5-feet-8-inches tall, of medium build and has a goatee. He was last seen wearing a tan fedora style hat, a dark outer vest, a blue and white shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes, the NYPD said.
