LOWER MANHATTAN —A pair of shoplifters stole more than $1,600 worth of medications for cold sores, yeast infections and other ailments from a downtown Duane Reade last week, police said.

The shoplifters entered the Duane Reade at 250 Broadway about 8:30 a.m. Jan. 17 and started taking the over-the-counter medications off the shelves, police said.

They took $746 in Monistat, which treats yeast infections; $351 in Mucinex, which treats coughs and colds; $327 in Zyrtec, which treats allergies; and $229 in Abreva, which treats cold sores, police said.

As they were leaving, the shoplifters allegedly said, "Don’t worry, we going to come back and take all your shit," according to police.

Police are seeking the two suspects. One is described as black, unknown sex, 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket, a beige ski cap and gray work boots. The second suspect is described as a black man, 5-feet-10-inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket, black jeans, black work boots and a black ski cap.
