MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a bank near Columbia University last week.

The NYPD said the suspect entered the Morningside Heights Citibank around 5:50 p.m. on Dec. 16 and told the teller he had a gun, police said. He demanded cash and the bank worker obliged, handing over an unknown number of bills.

The thief, who never actually displayed a weapon, then fled the bank at 2861 Broadway and West 111th Street, police said. He's seen on the police photo bundled up in a black puffy jacket, scarf and hat, with only a portion of his face showing.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or text TIP577 to 274637 (CRIMES).
