UPPER WEST SIDE — Leave it to the Australians to come up with this one. The Aussie-owned Sunburnt Calf bar is now offering keg service, a super-sized take on bottle service.

Instead of shelling out for exclusive access to a mere bottle of booze, drinkers can reserve their own keg, then pour themselves up to 15.5 gallons of frosty cold beer while they hang with friends at the bar.

"It's good for more casual parties," said the Sunburnt Calf's reservations and events manager Matilda Boland. "It's a little bit more down to earth, a bit more bloke-friendly, than the hoity toity bottle service."

The keg service is available in the second-floor lounge of the Sunburnt Calf, on West 79th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.

The lounge has a pool table, HD television screens, and an iPod dock, so customers can play DJ. When you order your own keg, it's hooked up to one of several taps in the lounge.

Kegs must be ordered five to seven days ahead of time.

The cost runs between $300 to $660, with kegs generally pouring between 85 and 100 beers. Beers on the keg menu range are a mix of domestic and imported brews, from Budweiser to Belgium's Chimay Triple.
