MANHATTAN — A Manhattan man bound for Chicago showed up to a LaGuardia Airport security checkpoint stripped down to his skivvies Wednesday, reported the New York Daily News.

Jason Rockwood, 33, wanted to make a public stand against what many see as extreme and unnecessary measures taken by Transportation Security Administration agents, including pat-downs of people's private areas and full-body scanners that see through clothing, reported the paper.

"The American people need to stand up for their rights and dignity and say, 'I don't feel comfortable with how you're treating me,'" said Rockwood, according to the News.

Rockwood, who marched through the airport wearing navy blue boxers, a white tank top and moccasins, told the paper, "I'm definitely having a pat-down" and called the procedure "undignified."

But TSA workers didn't take the bait and instead let Rockwood pass through the metal detectors without delay, reported the News.
