Police Hunt for Suspects in Robbery of Runway Model at City Hall Park

MANHATTAN — Police released a photo Wednesday of one of the suspects wanted in connection with the robbery of a former runway model.

Julie Melnova, 24, said two men wearing hoods robbed her of a red Lanvin bag, worth $2,000, with her wallet and credit cards inside, as well as groceries she had just purchased at Whole Foods while she was sitting on a park bench in City Hall Park on Nov. 12, according to the New York Post.

NYPD released a photo of one of the two suspects and descriptions of both on Wednesday.

According to police, one of the suspects is a Hispanic male, approximately 4 feet 9 inches tall with black hair and medium skin tone. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a sweatshirt and a baseball cap. 

The other suspect is a black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with short black hair and dark skin tone, according to NYPD.
