MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man who dressed up as a UPS employee and attempted to mug two people in Hamilton Heights last month, according to the NYPD.

The suspect was dressed in the delivery uniform with headphones in his ears when he pulled a gun on someone inside an apartment building at 101 West 147th Street at 6 p.m. on Oct. 29, police said. He demanded cash from the person, but fled when it became apparent the victim didn’t have any money, police said.

Twenty minutes later, police said he attempted to rob another person four blocks away inside 159 West 143rd Street. The fake UPS delivery man told his victim to empty his pockets, but the victim claimed not to have any cash and the mugger took off running, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting 274637(CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
