FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A thief stole a $600 iPhone from a woman walking in the Financial District last month, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was crossing Water and Fulton streets, just two blocks from her home, when a man came up behind her and grabbed her phone about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 25, police said.

The woman chased the thief into the McDonald’s at 52 Fulton St. and confronted him, but he then fled down Fulton Street with the phone, police said.

Police are seeking the thief, described as black, 20-years-old, 5-feet-8-inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans, with a tattoo of a parachute on his face.
