MIDTOWN — A fire broke out above a Midtown watering hole Monday, ruining a popular happy-hour option for employees of Fox News Corp.

The Pig 'n' Whistle, a  popular Irish pub, was evacuated about 3:50 p.m. Monday when a fire was detected on the third and fourth floors of the bar's 165 W. 47th St. brownstone location, FDNY said. No injuries were reported.

AnnMarie Chacko, 24, a hostess at the Pig 'n' Whistle, said a woman from the hotel next door came into the tavern and said she saw smoke.

"We couldn't tell anything was happening, then we started to smell the smoke and ran out," she said.

FDNY received the call at 3:51 p.m.

"I was at the back of the building so the firefighters went up and broke all the glass," said Chacko.

At 5:40 p.m., the bar was closed and did not plan to reopen for a few hours.
