MANHATTAN — Carl Paladino may be "disgusted" by the "grinding" at gay pride parades, but that doesn't mean he minds cashing in on gay clubs.

The Buffalo real estate developer-turned-Republican gubernatorial candidate rented space in his buildings to two different gay clubs for years and even had his son running one of the establishments, the Daily News reported Wednesday.

Paladino has been under fire since Sunday when he told a gathering of Brooklyn rabbis that children should not be "brainwashed" into thinking that homosexuality is OK.

Later he slammed opponent Andrew Cuomo on the Today Show for taking his daughters to this year's Gay Pride Parade, describing the annual parades as "disgusting."

Paladino has since apologized for his remarks.

The first of the two clubs, named Cobalt, was reportedly run by Paladino's son, William, from 2004 through 2006.

One review in the Buffalo News described Cobalt as "Way gay," and said, "The queens, the techno, the cocktails, the kind of gyration normally confined to Manhattan was in full flaming force."

The second club, named Buddies II, operated in another Paladino building from 2005 to 2006, the Buffalo News said.

Buddies II reportedly described itself as a "bar where anyone and everyone is welcome (and) prejudices are left at the door."
