MIDTOWN — According to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, all it would take to bribe him is a sandwich — in particular, burnt white toast with melted Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter, sliced bananas and bacon.

"I wish somebody would bribe me, but nobody ever does," Bloomberg said, facetiously lamenting the crooked days of Tammany Hall, while taping an episode of the popular National Public Radio radio show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" at Carnegie Hall Thursday night.

The mayor endured jokes from the show’s host Peter Sagal about wanting a fourth term as well as some jabs about his height, but got in a few quips of his own.

Bloomberg also rebuffed rumors that despite a recent golfing outing with Pres. Barack Obama — during which he and the president lost $11 in a bet against two golf sharks — he might be eyeing a 2012 presidential run.

"There are plenty of other people who could do a better job," he said.

"I’ll leave that to Donald Trump," the mayor added. "He has more hair than I do.”

The show, which usually tapes in Chicago, is on two-night sold out tour at Carnegie Hall and tapes again Friday night. Thursday night’s show airs this weekend on WNYC.
