FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A $2,500 bicycle was stolen from outside the World Financial Center last month, police said.

A 28-year-old Financial District man locked his green Bianchi Pista bicycle outside the Mercantile Exchange at 1 North End Ave. about 8:45 a.m. Sept. 28. When he returned about 4 p.m., he found his lock cut and the bike gone, police said.

A security camera captured the theft. Police are seeking a man described as 30-years-old, black Hispanic, 5-feet-10-inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a red T-shirt and black work boots.
