UPPER WEST SIDE — Police are looking for a man who they believe robbed two Chase Banks in the last week.
The suspected robber was described as a clean shaven man in his 30's with a slim build and dark short cropped hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue Yankees cap, a gray hooded jacket and jeans, the NYPD said.
Police say the suspected robber walked into the Chase Bank at Columbus Avenue and West 72nd Street last Thursday at 1 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction, the NYPD said.
On Monday, the same man is suspected of robbing a Chase Bank at 130 Second Avenue at 9:15 a.m. As in the first robbery, he gave the teller a note, took an undisclosed sum, then left in an unknown direction.
The same Columbus Avenue Chase Bank branch was robbed this summer by a man wielding a remote control.
