GREENWICH VILLAGE — A man who fell to his death from a Mercer Street high-rise late Monday night was found with duct tape covering his mouth, according to police and published reports.

The 37-year-old man was discovered in front of 250 Mercer Street near West Fourth Street shortly before 11 a.m., the NYPD said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man’s mouth was covered in duct tape, but police ruled out criminality when they found a suicide note in his 14th floor apartment at the Mercer Street address, the Daily News reported.

The man was identified by the Medical Examiner’s office as Bryan Jacobson, an event planner who organized the wedding of actor Robert De Niro’s son, the News reported.

His suicide note detailed the pain he suffered as a result of ongoing health issues, the paper added.

The results of an autopsy were expected Tuesday, the Medical Examiner’s office said.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
