MANHATTAN — A man was nearly beaten to death in front of a Lower East Side bar Friday night, the New York Post reported.

The 46-year-old victim was battered outside Little Giant’s Bar on Orchard and Broome Streets at 9:44 p.m., according to the Post.

"We saw a man walking down the middle of the street," a witness told the newspaper. "His mouth was bleeding and blood was going down his shirt."

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was in critical condition. No arrests had been made by Saturday morning.
