MANHATTAN — East Harlem favorite El Paso Taqueria and Korean vegetarian eatery HanGawi in Murray Hill have made it to The Michelin Guide.

The neighborhood haunts were some of the 21 New York City restaurants that will be added to The Michelin Guide's "Bib Gourmand" category of the city's top eateries for a good value.

Local restaurant Northern Spy Food Co., in the East Village was also added to the list of the best spots to get a two-course meal and wine or dessert for $40 or less.

“If you live or if you visit in New York, you need to know not only which restaurants are the world’s best, but which restaurants deliver the best value? What is the best option on a Friday night in my neighborhood?" Michelin guide director Jean-Luc Naret said in a statement.

"We believe that the Michelin Guide 2011 demonstrates why New York City ranks among the world’s finest culinary destinations, with something for every palate at every price," he added.

The Bib Gourmand list, which includes 95 restaurants of good value throughout the five boroughs, was released Wednesday in advance of the publication of the Michelin Guide of New York City Restaurants 2011 next week.
