MANHATTAN — The NYPD is looking for a man who robbed at least two women at Manhattan ATMs during broad daylight.

The suspect, who was caught on camera at one of the banks, attacked a woman on Sept. 3 at a Citibank in Columbus Circle, where the 27-year-old victim was taking money out of an ATM just before 1 p.m., police said. The man came up behind her and pointed what he said was a gun into her back, police said. He then got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The ATM mugger struck again a week later at a Chase Bank in Chelsea, where a 39-year-old woman was attempting to withdraw money around 10 a.m. on Sept. 11, police said.

In both cases police said the robber claimed to have a firearm and demanded money from the female victims. However, neither victim actually saw a gun.

Police released a photo of the suspect captured by surveillance video. He's described as a thin, 5-foot 10 black man with salt and pepper hair. He's seen in the video wearing black rimmed glasses and has a short beard and moustache.
