UPPER EAST SIDE — Fashion designer Vera Wang was hit with a $350,000 tax bill by the Internal Revenue Service, the Smoking Gun reported Thursday.
Wang, 61, who lives at 740 Park Ave., perhaps the most exclusive address in Manhattan, was hit with the lien for unpaid taxes on her 2008 individual return last week.
The gloomy news matches the collection Wang showed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Tuesday, which was dominated by black and other dark colors.
The lien for $349,781.38 was assessed Sept. 7, the Smoking Gun reported.
