LOWER EAST SIDE — A piece of pickle history is up for grabs on Orchard Street.

The green awning gracing the space formerly occupied by local institution Guss’ Pickles will be sold off by the storefront’s new proprietor, the local blog Bowery Boogie reported.

Back in March, Guss’ owners moved their 90-year-old business from 87 Orchard St. to a new location in Brooklyn due to rising rents and dwindling demand for the salty snacks.

The space’s new operator, who is reportedly opening a cigar shop at the address, is planning to sell off the signage to help fund the new venture.

The faded awning will be taken down from the shop in the coming weeks, and the blog encouraged interested parties to e-mail the site to place their bids.
