MANHATTAN — Tiger Woods is now a Manhattanite, and he's not in the least bit shy about it.
The infamous golfer bought an apartment downtown less than a week after he and Elin Nordegren finalized their divorce, the New York Post reported.
A source, who wouldn’t give the specific building location, told Us Magazine that Woods came and introduced himself over the weekend, despite the fact that he had publicly asked for privacy only a week earlier.
“Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their [the children’s] future well-being,” Woods said in a statement on his website a week ago. “The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”
The move to Manhattan came as Woods was playing in a Barclays tournament in Paramus, New Jersey.
“I’m trying to get, obviously, my game in order,” Woods told reporters as he practiced for the tournament, according to the Post.
