MANHATTAN— A Harlem man is accused of making hundreds of fake 911 calls, police said, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Anthony Lloyd, 49, pleaded not guilty on Thursday after allegedly reporting 330 bogus bomb threats, anthrax scares and officer down calls, the paper reported.

Police said Lloyd made the calls over a 20-month period but officers were unable to catch him because the reports came from a discontinued and unregistered cell phone account that still had emergency capabilities, according to the Journal.

Investigators were finally able to identify Lloyd after he called in with a noise complaint about his 117 W. 138th St. apartment and an officer recognized his distinctive voice, police told the paper.

Lloyd was arraigned and released on $3,500 bail.
