MANHATTAN — New Yorkers keep it snappy when it comes to cell phone chatter, a new Nielsen study obtained by the New York Post found.
The average duration of a cell phone conversation in the Empire State is 3.7 minutes, shorter than in any other state in the union, Nielsen and the Post reported.
New Yorkers spend an average of 713 minutes yakking on their cells in a given month, compared to Georgians' 800, the paper said.
When it came to number of calls, New Yorkers came in a solid 15th place, according to the Post.
So, what does all this mean?
"The data support the idea that we have a lot to say, but we say it in a very efficient manner," Nielsen Telecom CEO, Jonathan Carson, told the paper.
