MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a person in East Harlem last weekend.
The suspect, who appeared to be in his 20s, followed his victim into the doorway of a building on East 110th Street at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, police said. As she tried to close the door, he pushed it open. Then he tried to sexually assault her and robbed the person of some cash.
He fled on foot, and was caught on tape by surveillance cameras. He was wearing a blue Yankees hat, a blue and white plaid shirt and white sneakers
Police urged anyone with information about the attack to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
