MANHATTAN — A-Rod missed out on the Yankees team photo Tuesday because he missed the memo on it — not because he was too busy dreaming of hitting his 600th home run, the New York Daily News reported.

But Alex Rodriguez fans need not worry, the slugger's pretty mug will be digitally added to the photos, the News said.

The Yankees director of publications reportedly stepped up to the plate to stand in for Rodriguez.

"I know that one of our front office guys had to play Alex Rodriguez for a little while. I have to find that guy and shake his hand, must have been a tough situation," Rodriquez was quoted by the News as saying.

A-Rod reportedly didn't check his seat before leaving Monday, where he would have found the memo requesting players be present for the team photo at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Yankees officials told the News that every year a player seems to miss the team photo.
