SoHo Attack

A 40-year-old Midtown man was entering the lobby of his partner’s building at 349 W. Broadway near Broome Street about 2:30 a.m. July 23 when someone pushed him to the ground, police said.

The attacker snatched the victim’s $1,500 MacBook and $500 BlackBerry and fled. The victim sustained abrasions to his left arm and hand but was not seriously injured, police said.

Greenhouse Bag Grab

A 22-year-old Brooklyn woman at Greenhouse, the embattled club at 150 Varick St. in SoHo, lost her handbag in the early hours of July 22 when she left it unattended while going to the restroom, police said.

The woman later discovered $2,500 in unauthorized charges on her credit cards, and she also lost her house keys and her $250 Nokia phone.

Burglar Caught In the Act, Flees

A would-be burglar broke into a sixth-floor apartment at 59 Wooster St. near Broome Street at 3:40 p.m. on July 27 but fled without taking anything after a witness discovered him, police said.

The witness was a 20-year-old woman who works for the apartment’s owner.

Police described the burglar as a 20-year-old black man, five feet nine inches tall, 165 pounds, wearing jeans and a white T-shirt or tank top.

Two McDonald’s Thefts

Patrons of two lower Manhattan McDonald’s locations recently had their wallets stolen.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on July 23, a 22-year-old Brooklyn woman eating at the McDonald’s at 167 Chambers St. lost her wallet when she left it on the counter while she threw away her trash, police said. She lost $10 in cash and her debit card, social security card and passport.

Several days later, about 3:45 p.m. on July 28, a 47-year-old woman visiting from Turkey left her pocketbook on the back of her chair at the McDonald’s at 160 Broadway, police said. When she got up to leave, she noticed that her bag was open and her wallet with credit cards and $500 in cash was gone.

Thief Steals Hamptons Jitney Pass

A 31-year-old TriBeCa woman who hung her pocketbook on the back of her chair in the Starbucks at 120 Church St. at Murray Street at 2 p.m. July 22 discovered an hour later that her purse had been knocked to the floor and her wallet was gone, police said.

The woman lost her $1,000 Goyard wallet, $2,000 in cash, credit cards and a Hamptons Jitney pass.

Stolen Wallet

A 42-year-old woman visiting from Florida was eating dinner at Dos Caminos, 475 W. Broadway near West Houston Street, about 6:30 p.m. July 26 when she discovered that her wallet was missing from her backpack, police said.

The woman had last seen her wallet earlier in the day when she bought a MetroCard at the 49th Street N/Q/R station. She lost $300 in cash, and one of her credit cards had an unauthorized charge for a MetroCard, police said.
