Three Vehicles Stolen

Three vehicles have disappeared from lower Manhattan’s streets in the past couple weeks.

First, a 36-year-old Maryland man who parked his red Harley Davidson motorcycle at William and Pine Streets at 5 p.m. July 12 returned the following afternoon to find it missing, police said.

Also on July 12, a 27-year-old man from Norwalk, Conn., parked his 1999 black Honda Civic on MacDougal Street just south of West Houston Street at 11:30 p.m. When he returned 48 hours later, the car was gone.

Finally, a 74-year-old man from Pearl River, N.Y., parked his 2000 gold Honda Accord at William Street and Maiden Lane at 7 p.m. July 17 and returned shortly before midnight to find the car had been stolen.

Coach Theft

A man walked into the Coach store at 193 Front St. near Fulton Street at 1 p.m. July 21 and grabbed 11 wallets and one ring from the display cases.

The man stuffed the merchandise, valued at $1,554, into a plastic bag and his pocket and fled the store, setting off the alarm, police said.

Police are seeking a 40-year-old black man, 6 feet tall, who was wearing a red and white striped shirt.

Purse Lifted

A 26-year-old Washington Heights woman was eating dinner at Mekong Restaurant, 18 King St. near Sixth Avenue, on the evening of July 9 when she left her pocketbook on the back of her chair or beneath it, police said.

Shortly after midnight, the woman realized that her bag, containing credit cards, a $300 Canon camera, $200 Oakley sunglasses and an $80 Samsung phone, was missing. Unauthorized charges on the credit cards totaled about $350.

Bar Theft

A 22-year-old Chelsea woman left her purse on a hook beneath the bar at the Duane Park Restaurant and Lounge, 157 Duane St. near West Broadway, early in the morning of July 17.

About an hour later, she noticed her bag was missing, and she found several unauthorized charges on her credit cards, including a $51.50 MetroCard and the bill for a cab ride to Brooklyn, police said.
