MANHATTAN — Angelina Jolie wants Russian spy Anna Chapman to appear at the premiere of her new spy thriller.
Jolie has asked local promoters to invite Chapman to the Moscow premiere of her movie, “Salt,” in which she plays a suspected femme fatale, the New York Post reported.
Although Jolie is reportedly excited at the prospect of meeting the real deal, promoters don’t know how to locate Chapman, a former Financial District resident.
“How are we going to look for Chapman? We have no idea,” the “Salt” promoter Igor Dubinin told the Russian news Web site Lifenews.ru.
“But since it’s a personal request, we’ll do everything possible.”
Chapman, also called “Agent 90-60-90” by the Russian media because of her shapely measurements, is being interrogated along with nine other agents in an undisclosed government compound in Moscow, the Post reported.
They aren’t allowed to have cellphones, according to the Post, but promoters sent the invitation to her last Russian address in hopes that it will reach her via snail mail.
Jolie’s film, in which she plays a CIA agent suspected of being a Russian sleeper agent, has parallels with Chapman's real-life drama.
The spy is now a star of her own in her hometown Volgograd, after fans asked Mayor Roman Grebennikov to name her “Honorary Citizen."
“This is a unique convergence of script and the fate of this woman,” another promoter told the Post.
