MANHATTAN — A video of attempted Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad surfaced on Arab television Wednesday, showing the failed terrorist vowing "a revenge attack" on the United States.

Dubai-based Al Arabiya aired excerpts of the 40-minute video Wednesday, according to the New York Post. Shahzad speaks in English, but the video has Arabic voice over.

The video's authenticity has not been confirmed, the Post noted.

"This attack on the United States will also be a revenge attack," Shahzad said, wearing a black turban and a rifle appearing to be an AK-47 at his side, possibly added by editing.

"Eight years have passed since the war in Afghanistan. You will see that the Muslims' war has just started, and we will tell you how Islam will spread all over the world," the Post quotes Shahzad saying.

Shahzad plead guilty last month to various terrorism-related charges for filling an SUV with a homemade bomb and attempting to ignite it in Times Square.
