MANHATTAN — Mayor Michael Bloomberg is offering the season’s most important drink on the house this summer, with a new program that will bring portable water stations to public spaces.

Called Water-On-The-Go, the 10 stations will rotate through locations such as Times Square and Brooklyn Bridge Park until Labor Day Weekend.

The fountains, being connected from city fire hydrants by the City Department of Environmental Protection, offers the H2O for both people and pets.

“Canines need water, too, especially during the dog days of summer,” Bloomberg told the Daily News on Monday.

The new fountain schedules can be found on nyc.gov's website at http://www.nyc.gov/html/dep/html/news/temp.shtml.
