MANHATTAN — On his way to meet with Knicks’ executives and coaches in Chicago, Dwyane Wade told reporters “I’m in a New York state of mind,” the New York Post reported.

The superstar free agent is meeting with Knicks brass a day after they met with LeBron James for more than two hours in Cleveland.

Wade, who met with the Chicago Bulls and New Jersey Nets Thursday, scored 33.2 points a game for the Miami Heat last season.

While James may be the most discussed free agent in this year's superstar class, Wade would be considered a coup for either the Knicks or Nets to hinge their rebuilding efforts on.

He is also one of the players who reportedly spoke with LeBron James about joining his team — wherever he ends up.

Most experts expect Wade to re-sign with Miami where coach Pat Riley reportedly wants to keep Wade and bring in Chris Bosh and James to join him.

Wade posted on his Twitter early Friday morning saying, "Another day of pondering my future. ... Things are interesting to say the least"
