MANHATTAN — The body of a young woman who fell into the Harlem River during a party was found in the water near Roberto Clemente Park Tuesday evening, more than 40 blocks north of where she entered, police announced.

Anjelina Wills, 20, had been at a party early Sunday morning, near 145th St. and Lenox Avenue, when she fell through a hole in a fence and into the river, according to a previous statement.

Though she was photographed with a friend earlier in the night, it appears that Wills did not know anybody else at the party, which was reportedly attended by around 100 people. Police were still trying to identify her in the days that followed.

Wills was never reported missing and there was no answer to a phone call at her Bronx address, according to the New York Times.

Three men who jumped in after Wills had to be rescued by police.

A superintendent at an apartment building near the accident said that he frequently puts up a chain to close off the broken fence, but teenagers cut it down so that they can get closer to the water.
