LOWER MANHATTAN — Prince Harry of Wales arrived in New York Friday, where he faces a packed schedule of mostly military-theme events this weekend.

The one exception -- and the best chance for the public to get a glimpse of the 25-year-old prince -- is Sunday’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Governors Island.

Prince Harry, who is third in line to the British throne, will take on Argentine polo player and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras in the afternoon match, which will raise money for a charity that helps children in Lesotho, South Africa.

The VIP tickets are sold out, but the public will be able to watch for free from bleachers and the lawn beside the field. The public seating areas will open at 11 a.m. Sunday and the match will start at 2:30 p.m.

When Prince Harry played in the polo classic last year, the event drew celebrities including Madonna, Kate Hudson and LL Cool J.

Prince Harry’s visit to New York this weekend also includes stops at West Point, the Intrepid Air and Space Museum and UNICEF's Emergency Operations Center.

He will throw out the first pitch at a Mets game Saturday with British and American veterans, and before Sunday’s polo match he will participate in a five-mile charity run through Central Park.
