MIDTOWN WEST — New Yorkers anxious for LeBron James to save the flailing Knicks think the Big Apple should use its culinary excellence to convince the 6-foot-8 forward to move away from Ohio.

"Maybe the hot dogs might do it," said Eric "Big Snap" Gardner, a Knicks fan passing by the Garden on Friday, who's holding out hope that LeBron will move.

The world's best bagels, steakhouses, deserts and snacks were all suggested as possible bait when DNAinfo hit the streets to ask what would bring the 250-pound James to New York.

"Cheesecake, definitely the cheesecake," argued Knicks fan Damin Moore.

Rodney Hawkins, who works as a cook for MTV in midtown, said Harlem's soul food institution, Sylvia's, should be enough to do it.

Niketown employee Michael J. Kenny is convinced Manhattan has got to be more attractive for a 25-year-old star than his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

"There's enough here in New York to convince him," Kenny said.

But a tourist from Akron, Ohio, had some words of advice for New Yorkers looking to lure LeBron with food.

"He's partially favored to Olive Garden, which he frequents regularly in Akron," the visitor reported. "I don't know if…you guys have any Olive Gardens around here. I think he's an Olive Garden fan."
