RANDALL'S ISLAND — A firefighter fell about 10-feet after slipping off of a ladder at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall's Island Tuesday morning, falling onto another fireman below him.

The firefighter at the bottom of the ladder appeared to break the fall of the other man. Both men were taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for examination, FDNY spokesman Frank Dwyer told DNAinfo.

Both of the firemen were conscious after the accident, which occured just before 11 a.m., and were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
