BRYANT PARK — A popular shoe shine booth on 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue was set on fire early Tuesday morning for the second time in the last two weeks.

The booth, which is owned by the Bryant Park Corporation (BPC), was lit on fire about 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning, according to the BPC's Director of Operations Jerome Barth.

"It’s terrible and hopefully the police will catch the perpetrator or perpetrators so we can resume business as usual," Barth told DNAinfo.

At this point, Barth is unsure of a timeframe in which the booth will be repaired or replaced.
